FINDING THE COLOURS THAT LOVE YOU BACK

The right colours do more than look good — they make you feel like you.

CONFIDENCE LOOKS GOOD ON EVERYONE

Your wardrobe may still be full of colours you’ve always worn.

But perhaps something has changed.

Your hair may have softened. Your skin may have changed. Your taste, lifestyle or sense of yourself may have changed too.

Colours that once felt wonderful may now feel too harsh, too warm, too bright — or simply no longer feel like you.

This isn’t about rules.

It’s about discovering the colours that feel right for you now.

Your wardrobe may not have changed.

But you have.

FOUR COLOUR DIRECTIONS

“Sailing boat off a rocky coastal landscape with soft blue water and a calm coastal atmosphere.”
“Olive branches against a warm earthy landscape, reflecting natural olive, sand and terracotta tones.”
“Bright pink flowers beside clear blue water and mountains, illustrating vibrant and confident colour.”
“Soft blush and ivory flowers in gentle, romantic tones.”

These are starting points, not destinations. You might love a little from each.

01 START WITH YOU

Before you look at your wardrobe, look at yourself.

Notice your hair.

Your eyes.

Your skin.

The contrast between your features.

And most importantly, notice what has changed.

Perhaps colours you once loved now feel a little too strong.

Perhaps colours you never noticed before suddenly make you look fresh and rested.

There is no need to decide what “season” you are.

Simply start noticing what happens when different colours sit beside your face.

Perhaps your wardrobe hasn’t changed — but you have.

02 — BUILD YOUR PALETTE

Now you can begin putting together the colours that feel like you now.

Think of your palette as a small collection of colours that work together and make getting dressed easier.

  • FIND YOUR QUIET COLOURS

These are the soft neutrals that give your wardrobe its foundation.

They create calm, flexibility and an effortless, put-together look.

Think: Ivory · Oyster · Mushroom · Soft Taupe · Stone

You don’t need all of them.

Choose the neutrals that make you feel comfortable, polished and most like yourself.

  • FIND YOUR LIVING COLOURS

These are the colours that bring your face, personality and energy to life.

They might be soft and subtle or bold and expressive.

What matters is how they make you feel.

Think: Sage · Dusty Blue · Muted Rose · Terracotta

Look for the colours that make you feel a little more awake when you put them on.

  • FIND YOUR ANCHOR

Every wardrobe benefits from a deeper colour that gives definition and helps everything work together.

It doesn’t have to be black.

Try: Navy · Charcoal · Chocolate · Deep Olive

Your anchor should feel natural to you — something you can return to again and again.

“Colour palette showing quiet neutrals including ivory, oyster, mushroom, soft taupe and stone..”
“Colour palette showing living colours including sage, dusty blue, muted rose and terracotta.”
“Colour palette showing deeper anchor colours including navy, charcoal, chocolate and deep olive.”

03 — NOTICE WHAT HAS CHANGED

Some colours may simply feel different now.

Black may once have made you feel sophisticated.

Brilliant white may once have made you feel fresh.

But as our colouring changes, softer alternatives can sometimes feel more harmonious.

  • Instead of black, try:‍ ‍Charcoal · Navy · Deep Olive · Chocolate

  • Instead of brilliant white, try: Soft White · Ivory · Oyster · Warm Cream

And remember:

Nothing is “wrong”.

You may simply be seeing yourself differently.

04 — THINK ABOUT CONTRAST

Some of us shine in soft, blended colours.

Others come alive with a little more contrast.

There isn’t a right or wrong way to combine colour.

Look at the whole combination, rather than judging one colour on its own.

A beautiful outfit isn’t always about finding the perfect individual colour.

Sometimes it’s about how the colours speak to each other.

There’s beauty in the softer shades.

KEEP

Colours that still feel like you.

The ones you put on and immediately feel comfortable, confident and at home.

RELEASE

Colours that no longer make you feel good.

Not because they’re wrong.

Simply because they may belong to an earlier version of you.

RECONSIDER

Colours you’re unsure about.

Don’t make a decision yet. Try them in different lighting, with different combinations or further away from your face.

DISCOVER

Colours you haven’t really worn before — but something about them makes you curious.

Give yourself permission to try something new.

05 — LOVE THE COLOUR? CHANGE ITS POSITION.

Sometimes you love a colour — it just doesn’t love you back when it’s sitting beside your face.

That doesn’t mean it has to leave your wardrobe.

Try moving it somewhere else.

  • Trousers

  • Shoes

  • Bags

  • Belts

  • Scarves

  • Accessories

A colour that isn’t quite right near your face may be perfect somewhere else.

A colour doesn’t have to leave your wardrobe just because it doesn’t belong beside your face.

06 — CREATE YOUR NEW COLOUR PALETTE

Now it’s time to make this personal.

Look at the colours you’ve discovered and sort them into four simple groups.

YOUR PALETTE

Choose 5–8 colours that make you feel most like yourself now.

A few quiet colours.

A few living colours.

An anchor.

And perhaps one colour that surprises you.

These become the beginning of your new colour language.

You don’t have to reinvent yourself.

You simply get to choose what comes with you.

NOEL’S TIP

Trust your first reaction.

I’ve learned to trust my first reaction.

If I smile the moment I put something on, it usually comes home with me.

If I have to convince myself it works, I leave it behind.

YOUR COLOURS

YOUR CONFIDENCE

YOUR STYLE

The colours you wear should make you smile every time you catch your reflection.

You don’t need more rules.

You need colours that feel like you.
